Anyone here goes for HPV testing? Found out it can cause cancer and am increasingly worried since I didn’t get vaccinated when I started cheonging

Having HPV doesn't mean that you will get cancer. Even if you test already found to be positive so what can you do? Just get a HPV vaccination. protect yourself and your partner(s).

Actually some clinics like dr tan got offer...
Based on research it is 96%> accurate
I read that HPV can cause cancer, and men have lower chance of recovery. Really paranoid now. Haish. :o

In women there is one specific area to be examined and that is the cervix. In men it is not so straightforward and even if an HPV infection is found somewhere ie throat, anus, penis what exactly are you going to do next? Laser the whole area???

There is no "cure" for HPV. Over time the immune system deals with the infection in the majority of people. As far as I can see testing is pointless and nothing more than unnecessary anxiety.

You are far more likely to succumb to something else like diabetes or heart disease. Cancer caused by HPV is a very uncommon cause of death in men.

A more productive step is simply to get yourself vaccinated and carry on with life.

DSC is not offering for now due to the virus. I went to healthway clinic for $650 total. it is more expensive than DSC though, which is $570 total.

HPV vaccines protect men from getting Genital Warts as well as Penile Cancer, Anal Cancer and Throat Cancer.

It is given as 3 injections over 6 months. The cost at our clinics is $150 (before GST) per injection.

The hpv vaccine won't help if you have already gotten STD before.

That is not true. As long as you are not already infected with the HPV strains that are included in the vaccine the vaccination will offer protection.
